The Chosen :: A Buffy virtual series continuation

New readers, click here for a crash course intro to The Chosen

Welcome to The Chosen, a continuation of Buffy the Vampire Slayer that picks up where the real thing left off — when you find something so sweet, the last thing you want to do is let go. Thanks to the wonderful world of fanfiction, you never have to. We're here to help you feed that never-ending addiction with episodes airing every other Tuesday at 8pm ET.

Following on the heels of our first successful year, all of us at The Chosen (all three of us) have returned to continue bringing you the ongoing adventures of Buffy, Willow, Xander, Giles and a few of their friends. Things in Trillium show no signs of slowing down, and life for the Scoobies promises to be as hectic as ever.

The Chosen began with a few very simple mission statements, and we remain dedicated to those: to craft stories in the style and mindset of Mutant Enemy (while still allowing ourselves the creative freedom to put our own personal spin on things), and to return to the days where the Scoobies were a family and not just a bunch of co-workers. In other words, all the stuff that made you love Buffy so darned much in the first place.

The show is over, but that's not the end. Far from it. The story's not done yet.

We interrupt this TagBoard ...

Unfortunately, due to a ridiculous amount of spam on the TagBoard (between four and ten messages have to be deleted daily), I declare this TagBoard service to now suck. I'm currently researching for something new to use, but it takes a back seat to the actual episode, so there's no ETA on getting a replacement. Until then, if you'd like to discuss The Chosen (or anything Buffy), come join us at The Wolf Pack forum. It's what all the cool kids are doing.
News & Updates :: 13 May 2008

In case you missed it, I have pledged to post in this here news box at least once a week (and possibly more!) with a yummy juicy Chosen update. Even if I have no update. So those weeks will probably be less with the juicy. This will continue until I have my next episode done, in which case you all will cease to give even a tiny crap about what things of slight placating relevance I have to say. But until then, juice!

That was the intro. Here's the new stuff.

My new job is coming along great. I'm currently in a sort of inbetween state, where I'm not quite training but not quite on my own yet either. Fun times.

Enough of that, you want the good stuff: how things are looking on the Chosen front.

Almost all my free at-work time is spent trying to absorb as much of the extensive knowledge required to do my job. That absorbtion is laborious, but inevitable.

As is my shift change. Right now I'm on the somewhat normal but day-sucking 10a-7p shift. Starting next week however, I go to 3.30p to midnight, and that's pretty much where I'll stay for a while. My days off are weird too, being Tuesday and Wednesday. Sucks for my husband. Pretty good for you.

That sort of shift will afford me some potential time for productivity every day before work, plus whatever lulls may come around the late, late night, plus the days off while Mike's still at work.

Obviously everything will have to be juggled into place, but as far as writing goes, this is pretty optimal. I have some good structure to work writing and other activities around, with lots of good gaps to actually do it in. It'll still be a little bit before I get my legs, but it looks good, and as soon as serious work resumes, you'll be the next few thousand to know.
